Thank You for our founders' great respect for Your gift of free will, and for pledging their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to establish a government which would protect our God-given right to freedom.
As our liberties hang in the balance, we ask O God, for your guidance and help in restoring liberty for our children and for generations to come.
We pray for the freedom to acknowledge You through our public institutions.
We pray for the freedom of religious conscience without coercion by penalty of force of law.
Lord, from our founding we have upheld the belief that our rights are inalienable and come from You, and that our first right is the right to live out our faith in You. Observing what happens in countries where there is no religious liberty, we ask You to keep the doors open for true religious freedom and expression in our country.
We ask You to keep the airwaves open for the full proclamation of the Gospel. We are keenly aware of growing threats that systematically could dilute the Gospel message and we ask You to give us full entry into the marketplace of ideas without fear of government intrusion or censorship.
We pray for Your protection over the right to own and manage private property without government interference.
We pray for the individual right to use appropriate means to protect our homes and families from harm.
Lord, we know that liberty itself is hanging in the balance in America. We also know that we battle not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual powers of darkness. We petition You to unleash the power of Heaven to help us, protect us and come to our aid. Infuse in our leaders a profound understanding and respect for their vow and their duty to protect liberty in this country. May they never take our liberty for granted. May we never take our liberty for granted.
“Our Founding Fathers did not invent the priceless boon of individual freedom and respect for the dignity of men. That great gift to mankind sprang from the Creator and not from governments. The Founding Fathers, with superb genius, welded together the safeguards of these freedoms...”
